The Jean Monnet program is one of the EU educational programs. It is aimed at expanding the knowledge and awareness of society in general and students in particular with the economic, historical, cultural and legal aspects of European integration. Jean Monnet is a French economist and politician. He earned the nickname "Father of United Europe" for his European devotion. Jean Monet managed the "Committee of the United States of Europe" founded by him (1955-1975). As a European ideologist, he said: "Europe never existed. It must be created."

As part of Erasmus+, the Jean Monnet program aims to strengthen European integration through research. Higher education institutions are actively involved in spreading the ideas of a united Europe.

Implementing the Jean Monnet program, the EU provides funds to universities, non-governmental organizations and associations for the development and teaching of European integration courses. Integration issues are actively explored and discussed during highly specialized events (summer schools, seminars, conferences, etc.).

Ukraine has been participating in the Jean Monet program since 2001. The most popular forms of program implementation are "Departments", "Modules" and "Centers of Excellence". The modules are aimed at developing and teaching courses on EU issues and European integration processes. Departments create new and modify current courses (at the same time, appropriate lectures are held). Cathedral grantees become professors in the Jean Monnet Program. Centers of excellence support educational divisions of universities, analytical structures and associations in the implementation of interdisciplinary research on the subject of European integration.

Within the framework of the Jean Monnet program, the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens won the Jean Monnet Module "European values of intercultural dialogue in education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches" (EUROVALID), number 101085224.
