Working remotely has opened new opportunities for teachers to improve the forms and methods of work, gain new knowledge, skills and abilities. Advanced training courses and webinars held at Sumy State University and outside became useful. They covered a wide range of issues of distance education, international and grant activities, legal and methodological support of the educational process, the philosophy of education.

Larysa V. Bidenko, Head of the Department, Associate Professor, took part in the Seminar-meeting «Normative-Legislative and Educational-Methodical Problems of Teaching the Ukrainian Language in Higher Educational Establishments of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine», which was held on the basis of Ivano-Frankivsk Medical National University.

Maryna M. Nabok, Associate Professor, listened to a series of webinars on the program Horizon 2020 on the basis of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic".

Alina V. Cherniakova, Associate Professor, mastered the technologies of distance learning at webinars, lectures held at SSU; passed advanced training under the program «Education of the person in educational process» (Kiev).

Nataliia A. Nimenko passed short-term refresher courses on the programs «Fundamentals of Critical Thinking: Logic, Dialectics, Rhetoric» and «Distance Learning Technologies at SSU» and improved practical skills at webinars on the organization and implementation of distance learning.

Nataliia A. Pylypenko-Fritsak took an Introduction to Psychology course through the Coursera platform approved by Yale University; passed advanced training under the program «Education of the person in educational process» (Kiev).

Teachers of the department gained new knowledge, shared their own experience, discussed urgent issues of educational, scientific and international cooperation with colleagues from different regions of Ukraine.
