Quarantine and self-isolation conditions forced teaching staff to adapt to modern realities. This does not mean that the entire educational process should stop, and even more such a key activity of the university as scientific, because it is the indicators of scientific activity that create the basis for reaching the international level in all spheres of life, which undoubtedly affects the formation of the university image as not only an educational, but also a powerful scientific institution.

In addition to conducting online classes on the Zoom, Google Meet, etc. platforms, during the autumn quarantine, teachers of Department of language training for foreign citizens continue to work and win new scientific victories.

Thus, teachers of the department took part in a number of international and student scientific and practical conferences, in particular:

- "The first step into science 2020”;

- "Modern socio-cultural processes: competence-axiological aspect" (Poltava);

- "Problems and prospects of training foreign students" (Kharkiv);

- "Interethnic interactions in the ethnocontact zone (ninth readings of I. A. Antsupov's memory)" (Republic Of Moldova);

- "Philology, linguodidactics, professional communication in scientific discourse" (Sumy);

- "Dialogue of languages - dialogue of cultures. Ukraine and the world" (Munich);

- "Dynamics of the development of world science" (Vancouver);

- "Ukrainian language in the world "(Lviv);

- "Overcoming language and communication barriers: education, science, culture" (Kyiv).

Based on their results, a number of abstracts have been published.

Advanced training in the program "Media and interactivity as the basis of successful educational methods".

There was an active participation of teachers of the department in webinars and seminars, in particular:

- Elsevier company webinar “Starting with a literature search in Scopus»;

- panel discussion "Ukrainian language in the world: impulses from Ukraine»;

- presentation-discussion "Ukrainian language: the path in independent Ukraine»;

- webinar-presentation “Language is the key to Ukraine".
