Foreign students of Medical Institute of SumDU (group MC.m-919an) together with Inna Levenok (Doctor of Philology, lecturer of the Department of language training for foreign citizens, the head of scientific group and the author's hub-laboratory Ukr.Lang.Laboratory for foreign students in the social network Facebook) joined the celebration of the World Heart Day on September 29 as a part of the implementation of the Jean Monet Module*.

Under Inna Levenok’s leadership foreign citizens remembered Ukrainian phraseological units with the lexeme “heart” (from the bottom of my heart, following your heart, a heart is not a stone, relieved from a heart).

During the event students quoted famous personalities, read poems and listened to the songs which were prepared by foreign student Namgivana Nataizia (Zambia), Theophilus Abigail Ojochenemi (Nigeria), Usendiah Edikan Joseph (Nigeria).

Students also identified peculiarities of the meaning of words “hearty”, “cordial”, “hearted” and passed a quiz. Uhvuoke Ajuluchukvu Paskal proposed to create mental cards to memorize the event.

With special warmth foreign medical students noted, that the distance between them and Ukraine has no more obstacles, because foreign students have Ukraine in their hearts.

We remind that the World Heart Day annually celebrated on September 29, was first organized in 1999 at the initiative of the World Heart Federation. This action was supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), UNESCO and other important organizations.
