The meeting of the working group, which was attended by the Head of the Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor O. Sydorenko, was held under the leadership of the First Vice-Rector S.Leonov. The meeting was joined by representatives of the Department of International cooperation, research part, educational and organizational management, coordinators, and project executors.

During the meeting important aspects of the implementation of Jean Monnet projects were discussed, namely:

- the first steps of project implementation;

- organizational and administrative support;

- basic principles of the Jean Monnet projects implementation;

- financial support for project implementation;

- project budget structure (components of the project estimate);

- recommendations and features of project implementation.

It should be noted, that since September this year, teachers of the department began to implement

an international project to promote European values in education, namely Jean Monnet module «European values of intercultural dialogue in values of intercultural dialogue in education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches» («European values of intercultural dialogue in education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches» – EUROVALID). The project coordinator is the Head of the Department of language training for foreign citizens O. Sydorenko.

For reference: today the university is implementing 28 projects in the direction of «Jean Monet». In total, 25 applications were submitted from Sumy State University in 2022, 11 applications were supported. Thus, the university is in the TOP-10 universities of Ukraine by the largest number of projects of the EU Erasmus + program.
