December 2nd, 2022 Senior Lecturer of the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens Hanna V. Diadchenko took part in ХI Olomouts symposium of the Ukrainian studies researchers «Ukrainian studies in the new millennium: problems of language, literature and culture». Scientific event was held online on the ZOOM platform.

Olomouts symposium of the Ukrainian studies researchers of Central and Eastern Europe annually gathers together the researchers of problems of the Ukrainian language, literature and culture from the Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Germany and Austria as well. This year the participants of the symposium had the honour to listen to the professor’s Zdeniek Pehal, Head of the Department of Slavic studies of the Philosophy faculty of the Palatsky University in Olomouts report as well as professor’s Halyna M. Siuta, professor’s Larysa M. Horbolis, assistant professor Hanna V. Sytar scientific reports. Despite the difficulties caused by the war, power outage and other troubles, the Ukrainian scientists reported the results of their investigations on the topics «Linguosophia of the «friend-or-foe» opposition in the texts of the period of Russian-Ukrainian war», «Hero-defender in the Borys Humeniuk’s literary creativity: ethnic and psychological aspect», «Everything will be Ukraine! About one model of the phraseological sentences».

Hanna Viktorivna made a report on the topic «Paradigmatic organization of the stylistic resources of language». In the report scientific approaches to the description of the paradigmatic phenomena in the lexical and semantic system were analyzed. Types of the paradigmatic combinations of the word’s conceptualization is caused by the need of the adequate description of lingual processes and phenomena in the poetic texts. Scientist proved that the net of the terms «lexical-stylistic paradigm», «lexical-phraseological paradigm», «derivational stylistic paradigm», «morphological-stylistic paradigm», «syntax-stylistic paradigm», «textual semantic field», «lexical-thematic lines», «genre paradigm», «functional-stylistic paradigm», «individual-authors paradigm» as well as «imaginative paradigm» usage helps to understand better the essence of the stylistic phenomena of the poetic text creation and makes possible their clearer and more adequate lingual description.

Interesting reports, vivid discussions, active ideas exchange, actual issues of linguistics, literary studies, lingua-didactics and lingual culturology talks – everything helped to dive into the world of science and just for some time abstract from the oppressiveness connected with war in Ukraine.

Wed like to sincerely thank to the symposium organizers prof. Alla Arkhanhelska, prof. Halyna Siuta, candidate of philological sciences Radana Merzova, candidate of philological sciences Uliana Holod and hope for the further fruitful scientific cooperation!
