The Department’s lecturers encourage foreign students to get acquainted with Ukrainian traditions.

Recently, students of M/I-2, together with their curator Hanna V. Diadchenko and lecturers Kateryna O. Uryvska and Daria V. Yasenchuk, took part in the celebration of Easter. Lecturers introduced foreign students to Ukrainian traditional celebration of this great Christian holiday.

In turn, students from Jordan and Palestine told that some traditions (baking cakes, visiting church on Easter night) are familiar to them from the Arab Christians’ life. On the other hand, such thing as a custom of painting and decorating eggs was unknown to them. Lecturers and students gained knowledge about the celebration of Easter in different countries and received great pleasure from communication.
