Scientific work of students is an important factor in the effectiveness of professional  raining of specialists 
with higher education.

On March 18-19, 2021, the XII Student Conference "The First Step in Science" took place in Sumy State University. Senior Lecturer of the Department of Language Training of Foreign Citizens Diadchenko H.V. and the student of the Medical Institute Shyamal Mani took part in the scientific event. There was presented the report on the topic "Language Situation In India". Particular attention was paid to the issue of linguistic minorities and preserving languages. It was emphasized on the special role of the native language in human life.
