From  the 21st till 27th of April, an international educational project and a meeting of educators, social workers, and youth workers from Ukraine, Poland, Austria, and Portugal took place in Vienna (Austria) as part of the project ERASMUS+ “Youth work with the Ukrainian displaced youth”. Alina Chernyakova, the senior teacher of the Department of Language Training of Foreign Citizens, candidate of Pedagogy  participated in the study visit “Youth work with the Ukrainian displaced youth”.

Participants first developed a common understanding of the needs of Ukrainian displaced children and young people, both towards the EU and internally, all in the context  of youth educational work. They participated in conferences and study visits to learn about the structure, facilities, activities and methods of youth work in Vienna.

The goal of the project was: 1) to improve the knowledge and skills of specialists who work with young people abroad through training, study visits to youth centers, educational institutions and exchange of experience between Ukrainian and European specialists; 2) develop a diagnostic methodology (survey) and conduct a comparative study in the format of a focus group with the participation of foreign and Ukrainian youth in order to study value orientations in wartime conditions.

During the international project, a number of interactive discussions, games, workshops, and networking were held. The organizers also created excellent conditions for educational visits to youth centers in order to study the structure, means, methods, forms and best practices in working with youth in Vienna.

Alina Chernyakova prepared and conducted a survey on the topic of changing the value orientations of Ukrainian youth living abroad in the face of today's challenges, which was a planned event in the process of implementing the Module "European values of intercultural dialogue in education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches" (EUROVALID).
