On February 23, 2020, the XI Student Conference "The First Step to Science" was held at the Congress Center of Sumy State University. Teachers of the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens Hanna V. Diadchenko, Liudmyla A. Kulishenko, Maryna M. Nabok, Nataliia A. Pylypenko-Fritsak and Olha M. Skvarchcha together with students of the Medical Institute participated in the event.

Reports were presented on topics such as “Culture of India” (Patel Raviraj, Patel Khushbu), “History of Indian Literature” (Viral Zapadiya, Hardi Patel), “Indian Traditional Clothing” (Fathima Raifa, Amrutha Maria Joy), “The Cultural World of Nigeria” (Akele Olohigbe Rachael, Edor Emmanuel Ovigueraye), “Ethno-Psycholinguistic Parallels in Ukrainian and Arabic Languages” (Alanannbeh Baha’ Aldeen Nasser Khaled), “Features of Semantics of Lexical Innovations in Youth Fashion” (Onyeka Kelsey Onyinyeechi), “ Youth in the modern world” (Pancholi Vibhutiben Ashokbhai).

It is nice to note that foreign students Viral Zapadiya, Hardi Patel (supervisor Nataliia A. Pylypenko-Fritsak) and Alanannbeh Baha’ Aldeen Nasser Khaled (supervisor Maryna M. Nabok) won the prize places and received honors.
