In order to establish international cooperation and study innovative educational technologies, teachers of the department are actively participating in the International Program of Mobility ERASMUS + KA 1 with educational component.

For example, in November-December, associate professor of our department Alina V. Cherniakova took part in a training course "ReMeDy: Ready to mediate?", which was organized to increase the innovative and pedagogical competences of educators, youth workers and coaches (Mobility of Youth Workers and Educators) who focus their practical work on teaching and educating student youth through mediation in non-formal education. The training was held in Rustavi (Georgia) with the support of the European Union's international program ERASMUS +.

The course was based on informal teaching methods in the form of practical exercises and project modeling of strategies for tolerant behavior in a multicultural environment. In addition to participating in the training course in Georgia, all participants are required to continue to moderate community-based and student-led activities during classes in Ukraine.

Goals and objectives of the training:

  • to explore the topic of multiculturalism and intercultural dialogue;
  • to find out the causes of different types of conflicts and possible ways of solving them;
  • to explore ways to resolve disputes with a particular focus on mediation;
  • to obtain skills for effective negotiation and mediation in an international educational environment;
  • to establish partnerships and collaborations with various educational and community organizations of projects development related to conflict transformation.

Participants from different countries were involved in the training: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Spain, Russian Federation, Ukraine.

The results of the training course will be covered in publications; the methodological recommendations will be used in the process of language training for foreign students in order to establish successful social communication.
