On May 6, 2020, on the basis of the Department of Ukrainian Studies of Ivano-Frankivsk Medical University, a seminar “Regulatory-Legislative and Educational-Methodological Problems of Teaching the Ukrainian Language in Higher Education Establishments of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” was held. Teachers of the Department of Language Training of Foreign Citizens of SSU also joined the seminar.

During the online meeting, issues related to the methodology of certification exams in the Ukrainian language (levels B1, B2), the work during current quarantine period (the use of mobile applications, distance learning courses, web-sites), the effectiveness of the developed manual on language, etc. were discussed.

Teachers of our department took an active part in the remote event, shared experience on the use of information and communication technologies during quarantine.

Larysa V. Bidenko presented a report “Blended Learning as an Effective Form of Work in Ukrainian as a Foreign Language (book 1. Socio-Cultural Communication of the Textbook on Ukrainian as a foreign language for English-Speaking Medical Students)”.

During the event, the participants had the opportunity to share their experience in teaching the language to foreign students, and also to ask urgent questions and get answers from representatives of the guide department.
