On April 25-26, 2018, the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “Topical Problems of Foreign Students’ Studying at the Present Stage” was held at the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens. The conference has already become traditional for our department. This year, it was conducted online for the first time.

Among the participants were teachers and students from Belarus, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Liberia, China, as well as various Ukrainian universities.

The online conference was held in the format of plenary and sectional meetings. At the plenary session, Valentyna I. Stativka, a Professor of Lanzhou University, presented a video message. Then Alla A. Sylka and Svetlana H. Teletova made their reports.

At the online sectional meeting, Olha B. Perehod, Liudmila A. Hoduiko and Natalia M. Hurina, scientists from Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin (Belarus), presented their reports. Malika H. Babakhodjaeva, an Associate Professor of the Languages Chair of Tashkent Railway Engineering Institute, and Larysa N. Hrytsuk, a Senior Teacher from Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin, delivered the video report. The reports of Dilda Z. Shaimerdenova, a Senior Teacher of L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan), and Оlena P. Cumeda, a Teacher of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (Slovakia), aroused vivid interest. Nataliia O. Tubol, the teacher of our department, also delivered a presentation.

Within the framework of the conference, the presentation of department’s new teaching materials on Ukrainian (Russian) language was held.
