The Institute of Slavic Studies of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich hosted the Seventh International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference "Dialogue of Languages – Dialogue of Cultures. Ukraine and the World", where Maryna M. Nabok, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of our department, presented her scientific work "Ethnic Aesthetics of Heroic in Ukrainian Folk Dumas and Oral Folk Poetic Works of the World".

Basing on feedback from foreign students of SSU Medical Institute, a peculiar perception of folk heroes in Kurdish, Palestinian, Brazilian oral folk poetic art through the notion of "heroic" is analyzed and a comparative analysis of it with heroes of Ukrainian folk dumas is performed in this work. Participants of the conference held substantive discussions, which resulted in positive feedback on Maryna’s work from scientists.

Secondary schools teachers and higher educational institutions lecturers use Maryna M. Nabok’s publications (“National character as a form of ethnicity being in Ukrainian folk ballads”, “Opposition "my own – somebody else’s" as an expression of the national character of the Ukrainian people's thoughts” and others) in their work with pupils and students. The evidence of implementing Nabok’s scientific ideas into practice of studying dumas is the school textbook by O. Slonovska "Ukrainian literature for eighth class" (2016), which quoted the researcher.
