On May 18-20, at our department was held a conference “Actual Problems of Foreign Students Teaching at Present”

On May 18-20, at our department was held the third traditional international scientific and practical conference “Actual Problems of Foreign Students Teaching at Present”. The conference brought together scientists from different cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Odessa, Nizhyn, Berdyansk, guests from Belarus and Russia, colleagues from Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko and Sumy National Agrarian University.

At the plenary and breakout sessions were discussed not only the theoretical linguistic studies of the structure and semantics of the Ukrainian and Russian as foreign languages, but also advanced educational technologies and innovative linguodidactic models of teaching these languages.

Along with experienced teachers, our international students from different courses and even students of the Preparatory Department, who studied Russian and Ukrainian language only a few months, also represented their first achievements. Fruitful was the work of the round table, where were presented and analyzed modern teaching aids of Ukrainian or Russian as a foreign language, many of which were created by the conference participants.

The guests got acquainted with the SSU’s Museum, remarkable places of our city, visited Lviv Theatre performance under Chekhov festival “Chehovfest”, which was held in Sumy Academic Theatre named after M.S. Shchepkin.
