On April 14-15 was held International Conference “The Development of Thought during the Process of the Formation of Professional Philological Competence of Future Teachers”.

On April 14-15, 2016 in Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. Makarenko was held International Conference “The Development of Thought during the Process of the Formation of Professional Philological Competence of Future Teachers”. Our teachers Larysa V. Bidenko, Yevheniia Yu. Burnos, Yulia O. Klipatska, Olha P.Konok, Maryna M. Nabok, Nataliia A.Pylypenko-Fritsak, Tetiana H.Chernyshova, and Alina V. Shevtsova took an active part in it.

The scientific issues of the conference were the next:

1. Person’s Linguistic Thinking: Ways and Means of its Development in the Classroom.
2. The Development of Imaginative Thinking by Means of Fiction.
3. Philological Text Analysis as a Means of Formation of Professional Competence of Future Teachers.
4. Modern Textbook as a Source of Knowledge, Development and Education of a Student’s Personality.

Such scientists and didacticians from Ukraine and Belarus as Valentyna I. Stativka, Nadia F. Balandina, Olena I. Samonova, Larysa V. Bidenko) delivered reports at the plenary meeting.

Valuable, in our opinion, was the round table "The Authors of Modern Textbooks for Secondary Schools", where there were such authors as Valentyna I. Stativka, Liudmyla V. Davydiuk, Anzhela O. Melnyk, Olena I. Samonova, Nadia F. Balandina and the teachers of Russian Language and Foreign Literature.

Foreign and local scholars also participated in sessions.
