Alla A. Silka, Associate Professor, has presented her new textbooks "Ukrainian language as the language of vocational training" for students with Russian and English languages of studying.

On January 30, 2016 a traditional gala evening dedicated to the New Year took place.

In most countries of Christendom (Catholic, Protestant, and some Orthodox churches), people celebrate Christmas on December 25 in accordance with the new Gregorian calendar.

The Institute of Slavic Studies of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich hosted the Seventh International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference "Dialogue of Languages – Dialogue of Cultures. Ukraine and the World", where Maryna M. Nabok, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of our department, presented her scientific work "Ethnic Aesthetics of Heroic in Ukrainian Folk Dumas and Oral Folk Poetic Works of the World".

On November 19, students of Medical Institute took part in entertainment program aimed at an adaptation of new foreign students.

Alla A. Silka took part in the IV International scientific-practical conference “Ukrainian Language in the world”.

This September, the fourth year medical students visited the museum of Anton Chekhov.

The textbooks and the learning materials of the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens of SSU were presented at the International Publishers' Forum in Lviv that was held on September 15-18, 2016. Attracting much interest, our exhibits were warmly received.

The third edition of the collection of scientific papers "Language, History and Culture in Linguo-Communicative Space" has been published recently.

On July 1, there was held a graduation of foreign students of the Preparatory Department.

On May 18-20, at our department was held a conference “Actual Problems of Foreign Students Teaching at Present”
