On October 10, 2019, Hanna V. Diadchenko and Evheniia O. Holovanenko, Lecturers of the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens, participated in the XIV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems and Prospects of Language Training of Foreign Students" (Kharkiv).

Every year, at the end of September, libraries in Ukraine celebrate their professional holiday – the All-Ukrainian Day of Libraries.

September begins with a celebration of knowledge, enlightenment, science. A new academic year starts. This means the opening of a new, bright and often difficult road – the road to knowledge, to new achievements, the road to the future for each of us.

On May 31, 2019, Hanna V. Diadchenko, senior teacher of the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens, together with the students of the Medical Institute (group МЦмм-732ан), visited the Sumy Regional Museum of Local Lore.

On May 27-28, 2019 teachers of the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens, in particular Hanna V. Diadchenko, senior teacher, and Liudmyla A. Kulishenko, associate professor, participated in the seminar-meeting in Zaporizhia.

On May 16-17, 2019, teachers of the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens Maryna S. Kazandzhyeva, Alla V. Rodenko, Nataliia O. Tubol took part in the international scientific-practical conference "Current Issues of Linguistics, Literature Studies and Translation Studies" (Ivano-Frankivsk).

On May 16 – 17, 2019, at the Department of Language and Humanitarian Preparation of Foreigners of the Odessa National University named after. I. Mechnikov All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Theoretical and Practical Problems of Language Training of Foreigners in the Aspect of International Communication” took place.

Students receive their first scientific practice at student conferences held at each educational institution.

On April 16-17, 2019, the Second All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “The Scientific Community of Students of the 21st Century” was held in Sumy State University, on the basis of the Department of Language Education for Foreign Citizens.

Foreign students of Sumy State University became active participants in the International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Scientific Initiative for Foreign Students and Postgraduates".

On February 24, 2019, the 10th student conference "The First Step into Science" was held at the Congress Center of the SSU. Our students with their scientific revisors took an active part in the work of the section "Philology - Communications - Society".

An important component of innovative pedagogical activities at the department is the training of teachers abroad, the study of the best foreign educational practices and technologies for teaching student youth.
